You will probably breastfeed most often while sitting.
To do this, hold your baby “belly to belly” across you, with his/her head in the crook of your arm. You should support your baby’s body using a nursing pillow or other cushion. Also ensure that you prop yourself up with cushions and use armrests, so that you do not suffer from cramps.
By putting your feet up slightly, you can support this relaxed position.
It is also important here that you do not bend your upper body toward your child, but that you remain sitting upright.
