Breastfeeding positions

The most important thing is that you feel happy and relaxed during breastfeeding. Take your time and ensure that you have a peaceful atmosphere, particularly in the beginning. Later you may be in such a good routine that you can also breastfeed with ease at the café.

Yet wherever your baby feeds, you should pay attention to the correct nursing position. You should be able to sit well while leaning back or lie down in a relaxed way and safely support your baby’s body.

At home, this works best in a comfortable armchair, on the sofa or in bed using a nursing pillow or other cushions.

For the sake of your back, you should remember a golden rule:
You should bring your baby to your breast not your breast to the baby!
